Lineapiù

Lineapiù was established at Capalle, near Florence, in 1975, born from founder Giuliano Coppini's brilliant idea and a true calling for research and innovation. The company immediately became the world-acknowledged leader in yarns for the knitwear industry, with collections distinguished by creative content and quality.

Lineapiù has repeatedly revolutionized the history of knitwear: in 1987 it presented the first 100% viscose yarn; in 1990 it developed Relax, a yarn with enough carbon content to shield against electromagnetic pollution; and the turn of the century brought the introduction of "air yarn" — light, airy, hollow inside, and protective against abrupt temperature changes.

Steered since 2010 by Alessandro Bastagli, the Lineapiù product range sits at the top of the market and enjoys the acclaim of the world's most famous designers. Year after year, the Lineapiù laboratories turn out yarns that create trends in color, structure, and blends.

All manufacturing takes place in the company's own facilities, so every product is 100% Made in Italy. Each season, the three collections — Lineapiù, Filclass, and Lineapiù Knit Art — are enriched with new items. Since 1975, Lineapiù has created over 4,000 yarns, more than 30,000 knitted swatches, and thousands of experimental garments — a treasure preserved in the Archivio Storico Lineapiù.
